Welcome to CJPME’s Boycott Centre. This Centre provides a consolidated list of resources and tools for individuals who wish to contribute to the growing economic pressure on Israel to respect international law and the human rights of the Palestinian people.

While the resources and tools are oriented to CJPME’s Canadian constituency, CJPME believes that most of the resources and tools provided in these Webpages can be leveraged easily by anyone interested in promoting the BDS campaign with Israel.

CJPME'S CONSUMER BOYCOTT STRATEGY - August 2010
There are several ways to help a regime comply with international standards of ethical and legal behaviour. Unfortunately, innumerable UN resolutions and even a ruling from the International Court of Justice have not moved Israel to respect the human and humanitarian rights of Palestinians. In 2005, over 170 organizations from Palestinian civil society appealed to the world to impose a strategy of boycotts, divestment and sanctions (BDS) on Israeli institutions in an attempt to move the Israeli government to respect Palestinian rights. CJPME has chosen to heed this call, and encourages its members and adherents to likewise take concrete steps to support this BDS campaign.
Talking PointsBDS is a legitimate means of protest and pressure, it is neither “anti-Israel” nor “anti-Semitic,” and it is the Palestinians themselves who have called for BDS actions. Read this document to defend BDS as the appropriate ethical choice at this time.

CJPME’S CULTURAL BOYCOTT STRATEGY - August 2010

Cultural boycotts extend well beyond individual campaigns asking performers to refrain from performing in Israel. Nevertheless, such individual campaigns do indeed help to inform the entertainment industry of the ethical concerns with performing in a state such as Israel, which has ignored so many international calls to respect Palestinian human and humanitarian rights.
